Live Local provides direct rental assistance to workers in Big Sky, helping locals stay housed when market-rate rent outpaces their income. Complete the application below to be considered for the Live Local rental assistance pilot program.

Before You Begin

Please gather the following documents, which are required uploads. Roommates must apply separately.

  1. Most recent federal tax return (Form 1040) for all household members who earned income
  2. Most recent W-2s or 1099s for all household members who earned income
  3. Two months of the applicant’s Big Sky pay stubs
  4. Copy of your current lease signed by both parties
  5. Individual and household income amounts
  6. Landlord contact information
  7. Applicant’s ID

          Live Local requires that at least one adult in the household works a minimum of 30 hours per week (1,560 per year) for a business located within the Big Sky Resort Area District. Please upload the most recent two months of pay stubs for the household member meeting this requirement. If the pay stubs do not show hours worked, please upload alternative documentation such as a letter from a full-time Big Sky employer confirming the hours worked. If the qualifying household member is self-employed, please upload documentation showing their work activity in the Big Sky community.
